NON RECESSIVE FEMALES

st1

These females are often used for the markets where the colour of the progeny is of less importance. The progeny of the non-recessive parent females will not always show the same phenotype as the parent stock male. Besides the coloured males, these females are often mated with the conventional parent stock males.

This range features three females which are the basis for very robust chickens. They are all very prolific chick producers and can be kept to older ages. The choice of the female depends on the market needs in terms of average daily gain and type of housing.

  • JA 57: the parent stock female shows the highest productivity at the lowest use of feed.
  • JA 87: adds more growth and breast meat yield compared to the JA 57. The progeny is feather-sexable.
  • REDBRO: delivers the best balance in terms of animal welfare, environmental impact, and economics.
