Rewarding excellence at first meeting of broiler breeder farmers in Pires do Rio, Brazil
Hubbard® Brazil has awarded its customer Nutriza/Friato for achieving record-breaking results with their broiler flocks processed in October. The awards were presented during the first meeting of broiler breeder farmers, hosted by Nutriza/Friato on Nov. 7–8 in Pires do Rio, Brazil. The event brought together close to 90 poultry technicians and farmers to exchange knowledge and strengthen their management expertise.
Hubbard’s Technical Services Manager for South America, Roberto Yamawaki, delivered insightful talks on enhancing production efficiency, along with bird health, welfare and performance. Topics discussed included “Management to improve hatching eggs” and “Brooding management of broiler breeders.”
Setting new performance benchmarks
A flock managed by integrated farmer for Nutriza/Friato Sérgio Gomes Martins Neto achieved a remarkable milestone, setting a global benchmark for Hubbard breeds. The flock recorded an impressive European Production Efficiency Factor (EPEF) score of 597, 1.256 in feed conversion, and 1.09 in feed conversion corrected to 3kg, showcasing exceptional performance.
Another standout achievement came from Nutriza/Friato farm Nucleus 10, managed by Giuliano Tomazini, which set a record-breaking EPEF. These results reflect the synergy of excellent management practices and the high-performance potential of the Hubbard Efficiency Plus bird. Hubbard congratulated Tomazini for achieving a historic milestone, solidifying the role of strong management and advanced technology in driving success for its customers.
Honoring commitment and leadership
The awards ceremony celebrated the collective efforts of Nutriza’s/Friato’s teams. Carlos Antônio Costa, Director of Hubbard Brazil, praised the remarkable collaboration that led to these results:
